CHRISTOPHER C. WRIGHT, M.D.
Dr. Wright is a board-certified physician in rheumatology who joined Rheumatology Associates in 2026. He is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Wright obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in 2009. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 2012, then completed fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX in 2014.
After completion of his medical training, Dr Wright practiced rheumatology at Amarillo Medical Specialists in his hometown of Amarillo, TX for 3 years. He then practiced at Arthritis Northwest in Spokane, WA for 8 years before returning home to Texas with his family.
Dr Wright has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of disorders across the entire spectrum of rheumatology, including gout, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, sarcoidosis, lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, inflammatory muscle disorders, scleroderma, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia. He also has experience in the co-management of a wide range of inflammatory eye and skin disorders.
Dr. Wright believes that care is best when it’s collaborative and encourages shared decision-making. He is adept in the use and incorporation of artificial intelligence tools for research and decision-making, and believes that the use of digital tools for communication and decision-making can enhance the care of patients with rheumatic disorders.
